ABOUT
Come join us as we host a fun filled event for fly fisherman of all ages located at the Lonestar Flight Museum at Ellington Airport. Hosted by a group of friends who enjoy the same waters as you, the Black Fly Affair is a day for us to celebrate our local waters, while giving back to the resources we all love. The best part is all funds raised will be donated to the Galveston Bay Foundation, in which we will have the funds earmarked for a local oyster restoration project inside Jones Bay.

To raise money, we are hosting a fly fishing tournament where all anglers will be given the same three black flies; challenging anglers who will be fishing for redfish, black drum and sheepshead. Saturday’s event will start at 5pm with happy hour and appetizers until 7pm. Dinner starts at 7pm for dinner ticket participants, served to each tournament angler and table sponsors. Live music will be played during and after dinner. We welcome all anglers to fly or drive in and have a good time with friends helping raise money to better our local waters.
The event is free to anyone who wants to come hang out for happy hour and live music.
